Buldak Ramen
불닭볶음면
The supermarket shelf is much broader than the single spicy black pack most travelers know.

Buldak ramen is sauce-coated stir-fried noodle, not soup ramen.
The category takes the “fire chicken” idea and concentrates it into a brothless, intensely seasoned noodle. The original black pack is only one branch: supermarkets carry creamier, cheese-based and limited variants with very different heat levels.
How it is usually eaten
Cook the noodles, drain most of the water, then mix or stir-fry with the sauce. Egg, cheese, mayonnaise, tuna, rice balls and extra gim are common ways to soften or balance the heat.
Convenience stores, Lotte Mart, E-Mart, Homeplus and most supermarkets.
Compare original, carbonara, cheese and limited flavors. Cup versions are convenient; multipack bags are better value.
Dry noodles are easy to pack, but bulky.
This guide is for buying food products. For restaurants and places to eat, use Dine.
Try singles at a convenience store first, then buy multipacks at a supermarket once you know what you like.
