This is not a small riverside fireworks show. Hanwha has hosted the festival since 2000 with leading international fireworks companies, and official company material says the festival has drawn more than one million spectators. The local reality: people turn the Han River into an all-day picnic long before the first firework.

What a Seoul local would tell youIf you want the front-row atmosphere at Yeouido, treat this as a full-day plan, not an evening stop. Locals bring a mat, water, food, a power bank and something warm for after sunset. The best riverfront patches start filling very early; by late afternoon the easy spots are largely gone. Decide where you will watch and how you will leave before you arrive.

Across the river, the skyline opens up and 63 Building can sit inside the frame. Local photo reports repeatedly favor this side for a cleaner panorama.
A wider, more atmospheric angle. Access rules and crowd controls can change on festival day, so check closures before committing.
For comfort, locals also look for pre-booked river-view rooms, restaurants or lounges around Yeouido/Yongsan. Confirm the exact window direction and festival package before paying.
